Karoo Huisie I captures the quiet beauty of a traditional Karoo farmhouse — simple, sun-baked, and full of character. The stark contrast of black ink on white cotton paper echoes the wide open skies and unhurried pace of the Karoo landscape.

Lino is a type of relief printmaking where an image is carved into the surface of a linoleum block. The remaining raised area of the block, once inked, transfers the image onto paper with a printing press. This technique is known for its bold, graphic style and produces striking images.
