Waenhuis - Lino Print

Waenhuis refers to a carriage house, a building I remember fondly. This building was situated on the farm I grew up on. It reminds me of vast open spaces, exploring and playing, and many care free times surrounded by massive akkerbome (trees). 

Lino is a type of relief printmaking where an image is carved into the surface of a linoleum block. The remaining raised area of the block, once inked, transfers the image onto paper with a printing press. This technique is known for its bold, graphic style and produce striking images.
